After studying the planets and how they all formed, scientists opted to study one of the larger, quite literally existential, questions of the universe: do planets other than Earth have conditions that could potentially sustain life? Scientists ventured towards researching the developmental and generational changes in the composition of radiation, matter, and life throughout the universe.
This theory, that life could exist outside of planet Earth, is supported by some discoveries as well as research. This article will explore which conditions on other planets are conducive to sustaining life, as well as the process by which scientists explored this theory.
Mars, forty miles away from Earth, has an atmosphere thinner than Earth. Mars also has very little water, crucial for life to exist there, and its temperature is -153 degrees Celsius. Therefore, man and other familiar organisms would die and perish there.
After gaining all the knowledge about the Red Planet, scientists still researched more about it and observed a few variations in the planet. Apparently, they found evidence of plant life on Mars due to the color changes seen, and if they are real, there seems to be no other reasonable interpretation.
Further, a few observations made by W.M. Sinton suggest that there may be molecules on the surface of Mars. Is it possible then, that there is some sort of life that originated twice in a solar system? Well, then the theory is definitely proven right!
The researchers also found that the size and mass of the planet can also help us conclude whether or not it can support life. There are planets (such as Venus) that are slightly warmer than Earth and are super-habitable since they have larger tropical zones, which on Earth would stimulate more biodiversity.
As is rightly said by Dr. Charles Alcock, “When we look at our own planet Earth, we see life that abounds everywhere. Do these same conditions exist elsewhere in the Universe? Remarkably, 21st Century Science and Engineering may answer the question soon.”
Whether we believe in life on other planets or not, certain things compel us to believe in unidentified flying objects. People have spoken about the recent sightings of them, and consider them to be a sign of aliens. However, UFO sightings are not scientifically proven.
A recent viral picture shows a source of light coming from the sky to the Earth. Without seeking a scientific explanation and relying solely on superstition, people started claiming that it was either a ‘UFO’ or ‘ALIENS’ due to the strange blue light emitted making it the essence of the picture.
There are many questions about suspected light in the air and it baffles the internet. Oftentimes, these sightings are typically hoaxes, as aircraft are misconstrued as “UFOs.” However, as this particular phenomenon had yet to be explained, NASA held a meeting regarding this situation on May 23rd, 2023. The report on the phenomenon says there is no existence of alien life and scientists have found no evidence of recent UFO sightings. As per some scientists, some sightings are bound to remain a mystery and are supposed to be anonymous. In the last session, the term UFO, associated with aliens and flying saucers, was replaced by UAP (unidentified anomalous phenomenon). NASA confirmed that there was no evidence of UPAs and that they are extraterrestrial in origin.
NASA panel’s chairman, astrophysicist David Spergel said, “To make the claim that we see something is evidence of non-human intelligence would require extraordinary evidence, and we have not seen that.” With viral “UFO sightings” repeatedly proven to be false, we can only rely on scientific evidence to conclude whether or not this alien conspiracy has any legitimacy.
