STEAM News at Maker Faire, Coney Island

One of our Co-Presidents, Maya Puterman, represented STEAM News at Maker Faire in Coney Island, New York, an event in partnership with Make Magazine. Maker Faire is an annual event hosting engineers, artists, scientists, creatives, and entrepreneurs to present opportunities and learning activities for children and teens. 

Our Co-President introduced STEAM News to a new audience as well as the many ways for teens to get involved. We also ran a trivia wheel for guests to win prizes, such as candy and keychains, outfitted with STEAM News stickers and popsockets! 

We had a great time engaging with middle schoolers and showing them that even at a young age, they can make their voices heard!
